The Distance between the cities (in kilometers).The name of each of the two cities constituting the route.The square piece of white paper on the bottom left of the screen will show details about a route when you hover your cursor over a route for details. Grey lines indicate routes that you cannot rent at the moment, white lines indicate routes that can be rented, and red/green/blue/yellow lines indicate routes that your airline (and your competition) is currently renting. Hover your cursor over a line for more information about the route and click on one to rent it. The map is a graphical depiction of everything on the list, where each line represents a route. Click on the the tab on the right to see the routes that you are currently renting. Click on the middle tab (with the question mark) to see all the routes that you can rent but that you don't currently rent. Greyed-out routes are those that you cannot rent at the moment, routes in black can be rented, and routes with a check-mark indicate routes that your airline is currently renting. Click on the first tab on the left (with the picture of the map) to see a full list of routes available in the game. Hover your cursor over a route for more information about it and click on it to rent it. The long sheet of paper on the right has three tabs along the bottom. The Route Administration screen consists of four main parts: a list along the right side a map a white, square piece of paper held by red and green paperclips and a smaller, square piece of paper with portraits of your character and his/her competitors. In Airline Tycoon, the Route Administration can be found to the right of the Airport Manager's office, to the left of Phoenix Travel's main office, just above the Duty-Free Shop. It is found on the upper or employee-level of the airport terminal and its shortcut key is: R. The Route Management Board (also known as the "Route Administration" in Airline Tycoon 1 or "Route Plan" in Airline Tycoon 2) is where airlines can manage their routes and view their competitor's routes.
